Catalyst Connection in collaboration with ASSET STEM Education are hosting a two-day workshop on project-based learning. The course goal for participating teachers is to develop the ability to design and facilitate effective project-based learning for their students. To do this, teachers will examine project-based learning from the perspectives of education and industry. They will review both the nine essential characteristics of project-based learning (education) and several strategies for effective project management (industry). Participants will begin the process of crafting a project-based learning plan that identifies the state standards, national standards and 21st-century skills students will meet through this learning opportunity.
